George F. Jessop's Obituary
George F. Jessop, age 68 of Lewes, DE passed away on Sunday August 16, 2009 at Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia, PA. George was born in New York City on January 31, 1941, the son of the late George F. and Julia Anna (Murphy) Jessop.
George was a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, and had a distinguished career in banking, retiring in 2000. George's retirement years were spent in the sun at the Delaware Beaches.
He is survived by his wife Linda , daughter Daryl and husband Joe, two sons, Keith and wife Stefanie, and Kevin and wife Katrina and sister Betty. He was also the proudest "PopPop" to four wonderful grandchildren, Bryanna, Kara, Joseph and Sebastian.
George's family wishes to thank the staff members of Beebe Medical Center and Jefferson University Hospital for their excellent care.
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday August 20, 2009 at 11:00 AM at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, Delaware RT. 1 at Five Points, Lewes, DE. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers Tunnell Cancer Center, 424 Savannah Road, Lewes, DE 19958 or to the Cancer Patient Special Needs Fund Care of Beebe Medical Foundation, 902 Savannah Road, Lewes, DE 19958.
