George Earl Smith, Jr.'s Obituary
George Earl Smith Jr. age 73, of Georgetown, DE, formerly of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at, Beebe Healthcare. He was born in Wilmington, DE, on September 8, 1945 son of the late George Earl Smith, Sr. and Eleanor (Greenfield) Smith.
Mr. Smith made his lifelong career as a gardener at AI DuPont. He enjoyed working outside and keeping his plants and garden looking its best.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his wife, Winnie Smith in 1998 and his grandson, Dustin Walls in 2012. He is survived by his daughter, Deborah Shoppell and her husband Charles of Florence, SC; four grandchildren: Brett Walls, Chuck Shoppell, Chelsey Williams, and Jessica Revell; and two brothers: Gary Smith and his wife Linda of New Castle, DE and Richard Smith of NYC, NY.
Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 12:00 Noon, at Edgewood Memorial Park, 325 Baltimore Pike, Glen Mills, PA 19342.
