George was truly one of the good guys. The world is less fun without him. I especially will miss George who taught me how to sleep in the bowels of a ship while being thrown Out of bed every ten minutes. What a stud!
George was a great mentor, supervisor and most of all a wonderful friend. I appreciate all of the guidance he gave me throughout my career and I am deeply saddened that he is no longer with us. Rest in peace, George and may God Bless Donna and your wonderful family.

So very sorry to hear this sad news. I worked for the Maryland Insurance Department at the same time that George was there and he was always so pleasant and easy to talk to. I learned much about the examination of insurance companies from him. Rest In Peace, George.

George was one of the first people I met back in the late 80's when there were very few women involved at the NAIC. He was ever the gentleman and acted as a mentor to me and so many others. His knowledge was only surpassed by his grace and humility. Sending prayers to his family. He will be missed.
George was kind, honorable and a gentleman. Working with him was always a pleasure. He was a source of wisdom for me, particularly during some of my rough patches. I hadn’t seen him for several years but thought about him often. My family prays for George’s family and friends. He was a very good man.

George was a very special friend and I am so very sad on his passing. George was one of the very first people that I met at the Delaware Insurance Department, and indeed the first person there to whom I confided my interest in being part of that team. He was a smart, hardworking, loyal and honest regulator with a passion for doing the right thing. He was a trusted mentor to many who had the joy of working with him.
George loved to play golf, and I am so grateful to have had the privilege of playing the links with him on numerous occasions. He was a much better player than I, but could always be counted on to keep an accurate and honest score - even if I didn't want to see it. It was always a great adventure to ride in the golf cart with him.
I used to call George the gadget guy. He was the first person I knew with a digital camera and the latest and greatest in computer technology and mobile phones. He enjoyed his electronics!
And he loved cars. It was always fun to see George drive in something new, and he had a few shiny muscle cars!
Most of all, George loved his family. Donna was the great love of his life. He was a devoted family man, with an infinite love for and pride in his children and grandchildren.
