Joseph Pharaoh
I met George and family through his daughter Ruthie and my sister Irene being really good friends. The Creshines only lived a couple houses away from us. In 1968/69 My father and mother invited the Creshines to come down to our beach house on Rehoboth Bay in Delaware. My sister and I were going to ride with George, Elenore and Ruthie in their car and follow my parents to the beach. George had a Big Chrysler, and the color was black. It looked like the Batmoblie from the Batman T.V. show. It was from that moment on we started calling George Batman and did so for over 54 years and he never minded it. In September of 2021 my wife Lisa and I were on vacation and stopped by to see Batman and Elly at their beach house. We stayed for about 2 hours or so and had great conversations, we talked about my sister Irene passing on in 2019 and my mother Jean passing in 2020 and even mentioned the Batmobile. When we were ready to leave, I shook George's hand and said we'll see you next year. Little did we know our friend would be with Jesus. Well since 2019 Ruthie has been my sister and we give our condolences to Elenore, Ruthie, George Jr. and families. We will miss our friend Batman, he was a great guy.
