I just heard about George. So sorry to hear. Many good times over the years especially opening the Austin Marriott. He will be missed and may he rest in peace. Kathy, condolences to you.

Kathy my deepest condolences. "Mr. Cook" will be missed and was a big part of so many of us at Marriott today. Take care - Terry Duvall
George's wife Kathy became my best friend since we sat together one day on the high school bus in Sudbury, MA. The years went by and took us in different directions but we always stayed connected. Eventually we both married and finally got the husbands together. These connections don't always work out, but this one did. The friendship that Kathy and I shared evolved into a new friendship of 4. George had a dry sense of humor and was extremely intuitive about people. He took great pride in really getting to know what made someone tick. You never had to second guess how he felt about things, and I respected that about him. Kathy, I am so grateful that you brought him into our lives. He will be missed dearly but never, ever forgotten.
I am so sorry for the loss of George. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Karleen (front desk at cancer center)🙏🏻
