Born on April 12, 1951, in Camden, New Jersey, George was the son of the late Harry and Dorothy (née Leeson) Burroughs. He graduated from Springfield High School in Pennsylvania in 1969.
George had a deep appreciation for the outdoors. He found joy in caring for his yard, riding his Gator, and tending to his trees and plants. He had a lifelong love for animals, especially his beloved fur-babies, Mya and Bear, huskies who were always close by.
An adventurous spirit, George enjoyed boating, camping, going for drives in his classic cars, and relaxing in his hot tub. He could always be found listening to music or watching You-Tube videos.
Family was at the heart of everything George did. He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Burroughs (née Ford); his children, Alycia, Andrew, Alexander, and Arthur Burroughs; and his grandchildren, Brandon, Justin, Julia, Skylee, Alexander, Fiona, and Desmond. George was blessed with a great-grandchild, Maximus, and is also remembered by his nephews.
George was preceded in death by his parents Harry Burroughs and Dorothy Leeson Griffonetti and his brother, Harry D. Burroughs II, and stepson Julian Brooks.
