We are saddened to learn of George’s passing. He was the kind of neighbor who made our community feel like home. In a world that often feels rushed, he took the time to stop and chat, or lend a tool without hesitation. I recall when we first moved here he was the first to help us move in our sofa from the POD and loaned his truck to Mike to trek to the transfer station. The suddenness of Georges passing has left us all reeling—we keep expecting to see him walking the dog or waving to us from the road. But what remains are the memories of his quiet kindness, the laughter and stories shared with us and the way he made ordinary days brighter.
George touched so many lives simply by being a good neighbor and friend. We’ll honor that spirit by looking out for one another a little more closely.
Rest in peace our friend, You will be greatly missed. Our deepest sympathies to Cherie and family. May you find comfort in the love and support surrounding you.”
