He loved sports and was a lifelong fan of the New York Giants, Mets, and Rangers. George had saltwater in his blood and spent many a day fishing and crabbing at the beach with friends and family. George and Pat spent several years touring in their motor home, "The Gypsy Rose", and later wintered at the Jensen Beach Club on Hutchinson Island, FL for many years. George and Pat enjoyed social events with friends and were known to be good dancers, winning several contests early in their marriage.
