Gayda Davis Hoopes' Obituary
Gayda Davis Hoopes, age 82, of Seaford, DE, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at her residence. She was born in Sandy Level, VA on May 1, 1934, daughter of the late Eck Davis and Martha Lambert.
A beautician by trade, she had for many years owned and operated her own salon.
Mrs. Hoopes was an avid gardener with her roses and vegetables taking center stage to her abilities.
She is survived by her husband, Earl Wayne Hoopes; six children: Deborah Clendaniel of Georgetown, DE, Donna Robinson of Laurel, DE, Heath Hoopes and wife, Jenn, of Mt. Wolf, PA, Timothy Hoopes and wife, Andrea, of Ocean Pines, MD, Anna Hoopes and Roy Hoopes both of Seaford, DE; siblings: Leatrice Tramell of Lynchburg, VA, Gary Davis of Evington, VA, Isabelle Stack of Seaford, DE, Barry Dean Davis of Lynch Station, VA and Dottie Sue Irby of Lynch Station, VA; 9 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Celebration of Mrs. Hoopes' Life will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at 11:00 AM, at the Watson-Yates Funeral Home, 609 East King Street, Seaford, DE where a viewing will begin one hour prior to services. Burial will follow the Services at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Seaford, DE.
