Gary W. Oroian's Obituary
Gary W. Oroian, age 56, of Bridgeville, DE, passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Cheverly, MD, on Wednesday, April 20, 1955, son of James R. Oroian of West Virginia and Barbara E. (Hackney) Winterble of Bridgeville.
Mr. Oroian grew up and spent most of his life in Silver Spring, MD. He worked for Marco’s Towing for 20 plus years before relocating to Delaware. In Bridgeville, he was responsible for landscaping Timmon’s Amusements. Mr. Oroian had a passion for fast cars and Chevy’s; he loved attending the races at the Delmar track. Mr. Oroian was an outgoing all around good guy who was loved by his co-workers and friends; he was always a pleasure to be around. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Mr. Oroian was preceded in death by his brother, Leonard M. Oroian in 1995 and his sister Robin M. Murtagh in 1996. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Gary W. Oroian of Hawkins, VA; his brother, Russell W. Oroian and his wife Sharon of Indian Head, MD; two sisters: Patricia Ann Richards and her husband Larry of Georgetown, DE and Pam Wolf of Lincoln, DE; a grandson, Aiden; and several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
A Celebration of Mr. Oroian’s Life will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at 3:00 PM at Grace United Methodist Church, 330 East Church Street, Millsboro, DE, where friends may visit at the church beginning at 2:00 PM. Interment will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Hardesty Chapel, Bridgeville, DE.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mr. Oroian’s name may be made to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
