Garner Hayden Burroughs Jr.'s Obituary
Garner Hayden Burroughs, Jr., age 70, of Milford, Delaware, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, March 30, 2025, due to a medical condition. He was born on August 13, 1954, in Clinton, Maryland, the son of the late Garner H. Burroughs, Sr., and Alice M. (Murphy) Burroughs.
A dedicated professional, Mr. Burroughs had a long and successful career with Pepco, now Exelon, spanning over 40 years. He was known for his incredible mechanical abilities and could fix anything with a motor. Mr. Burroughs found great joy in riding his tractor and cutting fields, and he was always eager to lend a helping hand to others, often picking up broken equipment and returning it to its owner in working condition.
Mr. Burroughs is survived by his son, Jason Burroughs; his son-in-law, Daniel Trudeau, of Fruitland, Maryland; his brother, Raymond Burroughs (Kitty) of White Plains, Maryland; nieces Kimberly Foster-Wilson, Kristy Maurath, April Bauman, and Vicki Burroughs; nephews Gordon Burroughs, Jeff Burroughs; along with four great-nephews and three great-nieces.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Burroughs was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Burroughs; sister-in-law, Velma Burroughs; and niece, Nicole Burroughs.
