Gale Anne Daddona's Obituary
Gale Anne Daddona, age 45, of the Angola area of Lewes, DE, died suddenly on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 in Lewes as a result of an automobile accident. She was born December 11, 1964 in Suffolk, VA, daughter of Annie Ruth Britt of Currituck, NC and the late George Albert Britt.
Gale graduated from Currituck High School and from the College of Albermarle with a degree in Cosmetology. She had previously worked as a hairdresser, but currently was working in the cafeteria at Rehoboth Elementary School, Rehoboth Beach, and in the Volunteer Mentor Program of Cape Henlopen School District. She loved working for the school district because she had her summers off which allowed her plenty of time to go to the beach and spend time with family and friends. She also loved all wild life and never hesitated to nurse back to health ailing pets and critters that crossed her path.
Gale was a devoted wife, mother and friend who lived life with a passion. In turn, she was loved by all who knew her and inspired many. She had a very big heart and was always giving of herself to family and friends.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Steven Robert Daddona whom she married on August 7, 1997; two sons, Ian Patrick Day and Zane M. Daddona, both at home; two sisters, Bonnie Lou Manasco of Danville, VA and Lynn C. Crabtree of Washington state. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother Robert D. Carlisle.
A Celebration of Gale's Life will be held on Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at 6:00 PM, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE. Family will greet friends at the funeral home beginning at 4:00 PM. Interment will be private. The family will then gather with friends at the Irish Eyes Restaurant, 213 Anglers Road, Lewes, DE.
