Fredonia "Faye" M. Davidson-Maple's Obituary
Fredonia “Faye” Marie Davidson-Maple, age 78, of Lewes, DE passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2016, at Harbor Health Care & Rehabilitation Center, in Lewes, DE. She was born Monday, April 11, 1938 in Lewes, DE, daughter of the late Walter Bray and Laura May (Moore) Davidson.
Mrs. Davidson-Maple was a true animal lover and enjoyed volunteering at PetSmart in Dover. She also worked for many years as a seamstress; and a hostess & waitress at various Lewes restaurants including, Hennessey’s, Lou Ianire's and Anglers. She was always a lady of strong faith and was a member of Midway Assembly of God. In her spare time, Mrs. Davidson-Maple enjoyed tending to her beautiful flower garden.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Davidson-Maple was preceded in death by her loving husband of 18 years, John F. Maple and her two sisters: Martha Gillis and Susan Davidson-Andrus. She is survived her two daughters: Lisa Marie Davidson of Milton, DE and Kathleen Keller and her husband David of Forked River, NJ; and her son, John M. West and his fiancé, Lisa Sprigg of New Paris, PA; her four grandchildren: Shawn Moore, Sr., Kristen Newmeyer, Laura Minarich and Brittany West; two great grandchildren: Shawn Moore II and Elaina Newmeyer; and her brother, Walter B. Davidson of Lewes, DE.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at 2:30 PM at Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes, DE where friends may visit beginning at 1:30 PM. Interment will follow services at Bethel United Methodist Cemetery, Savannah Road, Lewes, DE.
