Frederick W. Haas' Obituary
Frederick W. Haas, Jr., age 66, of Lewes, DE, formerly of Rehoboth Beach, DE and Exton, PA, passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. He was born March 31, 1941 in Holyoke, MA, son of the late Frederick W. Haas, Sr. and Anne Victoria (Maruszak) Haas of South Hadley Falls, MA.
After retiring as a Franchise Sales Manager for Cottman Transmission and Tinderbox, he worked part-time in the food service department of Cape May-Lewes Ferry. Most recently, he worked for Atlantic Logistics as Manager of Sussex County Van Drivers for Pilot's Association. He was a member of the Masonic Middlesex Lodge, Framingham, MA. He enjoyed boating, gardening, traveling and he loved his dogs. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 46 years, Doris Jean Haas; his son, Jeffrey A. Haas of Tampa, FL; his daughter, Laurie E. Byerley and her husband Charles of Dublin, PA; and five grandchildren, Tyler J. Haas and Dillon M. Haas both of Tampa, FL and William E. Walton V of Lewes, Sarah R. Byerley and Jessica T. Byerley both of Dublin, PA.
All services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions be made to Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children, 3551 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19140.
