Frank T. Plunkett's Obituary
Frank T. Plunkett, age 74, of Millsboro, DE, passed away Monday, November 3, 2008, at Select Specialty Hospital in Wilmington, DE. He was born November 29, 1933 in Long Branch, NJ to the late Irving Frank and Wilhelmina (Ball) Plunkett.
Mr. Plunkett, a Delaware resident for the past 11 years, previously resided in Rockville, MD. He worked and began his life long career at his father's Chevrolet dealership in Long Branch, NJ. He later worked at Rockmont Chevy in Rockville, MD for many years. He was a member of the Elks Club in Maryland and an avid horse racing fan.
Mr. Plunkett is survived by his wife, Shirley R. (Dilione) Plunkett; three daughters: Beverley Parker and her husband Al of Millsboro, Holly Bellingham and her husband Jay of Germantown, MD, and Joy Spain and her husband Kevin of Ijamsville, MD; one son, Bruce Plunkett and his wife Jeanne of Rockville, MD; six grandchildren: Julie, Jason, Karly, Shane, Haley, and Riley; two great grandchildren: Lukas and Hunter; one sister, Audrey Reisner of Harrisburg, PA; and one brother, Richard Plunkett of Booth Bay, ME.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 8, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at Long Neck United Methodist Church, 32051 Long Neck Road, Millsboro, DE; Rev. Christine Lee will be officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Enterprises, Inc., Lewes, DE.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to American Lung Association of DE, 1021 Gilpin Ave., Suite 202, Wilmington, DE 19806.
