Frank J. Noderer's Obituary
Frank J. Noderer, Sr., age 88, of Lewes, DE, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2009, at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, DE. He was born September 13, 1920 in Baltimore, MD, son of the late Michael and Antonie (Krueger) Noderer.
Mr. Noderer enjoyed a long career with the State of Maryland, retiring as Chief of the Department of Labor and Industry. He and his wife of 52 years have been year-round residents of Delaware since 1986. He was a member of St. Jude the Apostle Church in Lewes and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He served with the U.S. Army during during WW II.
Mr. Noderer is survived by his wife Elizabeth (Brender) Noderer; three sons: Peter Edward Knight and his wife Kay of Sabillasville, MD, Michael Anthony Noderer and his wife Sharon of Indian Head, MD, and Frank J. Noderer, Jr. and his wife Debbie of Mt. Holly, NC; three daughters: Margaret Ann Cunningham and her husband Jack of Panama City, FL, Leona E. Noderer of Lewes, DE, and Nancy E. Decker and her husband Rich of Halethorpe, MD; fourteen grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
A Chapel Committal Service will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE 19966. Entombment will follow.
