“Sometimes people come into your life for a moment, a day, or a lifetime. It matters not the time they spent with you but how they impacted your life in that time.
I have so many fond memories of the late great Frank Mrazeck…
I had the honor of meeting Frank when we were both recruited one weekend to help with DSTP preparations. My mom was the CHHS testing coordinator, while his wife, Dianne, was the Assistant Principal in charge. From his time as an educator/administrator to his dabbles in real estate, Frank had the most interesting stories—only made better by his vast vocabulary. What an incredible vocabulary it was too. You loved to listen to him speak, anxiously awaiting what rare term(s) would be used seamlessly. Frank made DSTP prep more enjoyable for all of us.
In 2009, as our two families traveled to an event, Frank agreed to ride in the claustrophobic back seat of my new convertible—top up—without any complaint. That was Frank. He even convinced “Miss Dianne” to join him.
When I completed my administrative internship with Dianne during the summer of 2010, Frank would stop by Beacon during our lunch to drop something off. Of course, as a former distinguished admin, he always had an experience to share relevant to what I was working on at the time. Knowing my love of real estate, he would not leave without updating me on his latest real estate venture. I always enjoyed those visits.
Finally, changing jobs comes with a level of nerves. That said, when I moved to Cape, Frank would always stop by and check-in if he was substituting in the building. It was a connection that helped remind me that I was home.
A consummate professional and great friend, there will not be another Frank Mrazeck. Thank you for your mentorship. Thank you for the memories.
