Frank Alexander DeMaio's Obituary
Frank Alexander DeMaio, age 90 of Rehoboth Beach, DE passed away surrounded by his family on Thursday, February 20, 2020. He was born on August 9, 1929 in Chester, PA, son of the late Alexander and Mary DeMaio.
Mr. DeMaio made his career as a foreman for Teledyne Wirz & Packaging Industries in Chester, PA, from which he retired after 42 dedicated years. He was a member of the West End Boat Club in Chester, PA and more recently a Parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Claymont, DE. In his spare time, Mr. DeMaio enjoyed fishing, bowling, and he also loved horse races.
In addition to his parents, Mr. DeMaio was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Mary E. DeMaio; his son, Frank S. DeMaio; and his brother, Thomas DeMaio. He is survived by his son, Alex DeMaio of Wilmington, DE; his daughters: Sandra Rickabaugh of Rehoboth Beach, DE, Debra Russell and her husband James of Newark, DE, and Linda Riley and her husband Mark of Plantation, FL; his sister, Deloris Melchiorre of Rehoboth Beach, DE; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at 11:00 AM at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 152 Tulip Drive, Lewes, DE 19958, where friends may call beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow mass at Henlopen Memorial Park, Milton, DE.
