Dear Walder Family,

I wanted to extend my sincere condolences to you after the passing of Frank. I had the honor and pleasure of working with him for about four years while at the Masten Lumber Corporate office in Milford. He always supported me and was truly my mentor at my Millwork operation. As you so accurately pointed out, Frank had a never ending sense of humor and my fondest memories of him were the two of us sitting in his office with tears of laughter rolling down our faces as we discussed Lord knows what.
Frank’s family and friends have lost a dear guy and a real gentleman, but those who are with him in Heaven will see their happiness and laughter on the increase!

Frank Walder was a very friendly and loving kind of man. He truly could make you laugh. He enjoyed his family and friends. My wife, Ruby and I had the privilege and honor to know him and the Walder family. There was never a time when we saw him that he didn't share a joke or some kind of humor. He will truly be missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

Frank was a good friend and my mentor when I first started with Saint Vincent de Paul. He and Eileen were both leaders in the Saint Vincent de Paul Society and devoted much of their lives to helping the poor.Frank also ran some fundraisers for his church. Bonnie and I were blessed to have such good friends as Frank and Eileen. Frank is probably up in heaven now trying to organize a fundraiser for the poor people in purgatory. May you rest in peace my friend.

St John the Apostle Parish were very lucky to have Frank and Family part of our parish for many years. We could sit and laugh at all the times we spent writing Lent letters to the parish and playing liturical celebrations. Frank was a great man and was always there if someone needed help. Frank was a dear, dear Vincentian family member. He answered the call to serve, and did so with love and a smile. Frank embraced the Charism of our Society by participating in our 5 day intensive servant leadership training when he agreed to serve as VP for our southern district of the Council of Wilmington. What an honor to serve with him and to call him friend.

I will always remember Uncle Frank as a witty and funny guy! He was so smart and fast with his jokes.....even as recently as a month or so ago, he left some pretty funny comments on my social media feed. Since learning of his passing, I have gone back and re-read them and they still make me laugh!

As a kid, I remember when he would visit Nan and Grandmom in Philadelphia, and the rest of the Rehmann family would come over to visit! It was such a big deal when Uncle Frank was in town, and no one wanted to miss an opportunity to see him and his family!!

I have not been able to see Uncle Frank in recent years, and feel sad for that. But I feel blessed to have reconnected with his children, and that our kids are now the bestest cousins ever! Being the family man that Uncle Frank was, I know that would put a smile on his face! Because aside from all the humor, wit, all the great things Uncle Frank was involved in throughout his life...first and foremost, it was all about family!
