Francis "Gil" Massey's Obituary
Francis "Gilbert" Massey, age 73, of Millsboro, DE, died at home of pancreatic cancer on Thursday, December 20, 2018. He was born on July 9, 1945 in Milford, DE, son of the late John and Florence Massey.
Mr. Massey proudly served in the United States Coast Guard for four years as an Electrician Mate, 2nd class. He made his career as a Master Electrician for IBEW Local 25 on Long Island, NY. In his spare time, Mr. Massey enjoyed crabbing, boating, and woodworking. He was the President of Pot Nets: Cove Side, Dock Side, and Sea Side Homeowners Association.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Massey was preceded in death by his sister, Jeannie E. Blackiston of Dover, DE. He is survived by his wife, Paula M. Massey of Longneck, DE; two sons: Jeffry A. Massey and his wife Kristin of Wantagh, Long Island, NY and Brian S. Massey of Westhampton, Long Island, NY; four grandchildren: Ian, Mallory, Kathryn, and Jaclyn; and his beloved dog, Max.
