Frances R. McGehrin's Obituary
Frances R. McGehrin, age 79, of Rehoboth Beach, DE, passed away peacefully at her residence in Rehoboth Beach, DE on Wednesday, August 26, 2009. She was born on September 28, 1929, in Philadelphia, PA, daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Hinkel) Connor.
Mrs. McGehrin enjoyed shopping, gardening and was devoted to her family. She was an avid reader of religious literature and had an extensive library of over 1000 books. She was very devoted to her family.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years Edward F. McGehrin; son Pat McGehrin of Rehoboth Beach, DE; daughter Kathy Van Dyck of Alexandria, VA; daughter Peggy Kelly of Emmitsburg, MD; son Mike McGehrin of Billings, MT; son Martin McGehrin of Upper Marlboro, MD; daughter Marianne Rhine of Mt. Airy, MD; sisters Nancy Williams of Pennsylvania and Betty Laudette of Oklahoma, 18 grand-children and 1 great grandson.
She was predeceased by two children Anne and Tim McGehrin, and one brother Joe Connor.
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, August 29, 2009 at 11:00 AM at St. Edmonds Catholic Church, King Charles and Laurel Streets, Rehoboth Beach, DE where friends may call after 10:30 AM at the church. Friends may also call on Friday evening from 7-9 PM at the Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE. Burial will follow the mass at Holy Cross Cemetery, Dover,DE.
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association, 100 West 10th Street, Suite 1002 Wilmington, DE 19801
