Frances Elizabeth Hearn's Obituary
Frances Kelley Hearn, 76 of Seaford Delaware, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully among loved ones, on Wednesday, 3 November 2021. Frances, or Fran as she was known by friends and family, was born 1 August 1945 in Wilmington, Delaware. She was the 2nd of 3 sisters born to the late Harold (Buck) and Bessie Kelley.
In her youth Fran enjoyed roller-skating and competing in skating competitions, and is where she met her late husband, William T Hearn Jr. Frances and William had 4 children together: Holly, Donya, Angela, and William. Fran was a vibrant soul and lived life to the fullest, enjoying various activities from camping and hiking in Shenandoah National Park and Assateague Island, to riding her motorcycle with friends.
Fran was an accomplished baker, cake decorator, and home cook. Every grandchild, on every birthday, always had a cake made by mom-mom Fran, and friends and family would rave over her homemade chicken and slippery dumplings. In her later years, Fran enjoyed bicycling and walks in the Wichita Mountains of Oklahoma with her dear friend David.
In addition to her parents, Fran was preceded in death by her husband, William T Hearn, Jr.; and her Daughter Holly Ann Hearn. She is survived by her 3 children: Donya Marie Hearn and her husband Kenneth Williams, Angela Saudarg and her husband William Saudarg, and William Thomas Hearn Ill andhis wife Christina Marie Hearn; 8 grandchildren: Clay (CJ) and Kenneth Hearn, Rodney, Christopher Hearn, Carmon Ray, Jaiyel Griffith, and Cassie and Madelyn Hearn; 4 great-grandchildren; her eldest sister, Edith O'Day, her youngest sister, Karen Holloway; and dear friend and companion, David Disbrow.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 11, 2021, at 2:00 PM, at Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Dodd-Carey Chapel, 307 N. Bedford Street, Georgetown, DE, where friends may call beginning at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow the services at Union Cemetery, Georgetown, DE.
Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, masks and social distancing are required of all persons attending or participating in any aspect of the services.
