Floyd Robert Savage's Obituary
Floyd R Savage, age 81 of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2011, at his residence in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.
He was born on Rehoboth Avenue in Rehoboth Beach on November 15, 1929, son of the late Floyd Bloxom Savage and the late Dorothy Quillen Savage. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his first wife Shirley A. Savage in 2001.
Mr. Savage began his career with the former Rehoboth Dairy where held the postions of milk processor and as a field delivery driver from farm to dairy. He later became a custodian for the Rehoboth Elementary and Jr. High Schools, retiring in 1994 after 37 years service. Mr. Savage was a volunteer fireman for the Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Department for over 54 years.
He is survived by his wife Nancy Lee Kelly Savage, his son Bob Savage of Milford, DE, daughter Dotti Neske of Long Neck , DE., 4 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchldren, 11 step grandchildren, and 2 step great grandsons.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Monday February 7, 2011at the Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium , Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway Lewes, Delaware with the Pastor Charles Arnold officiating. Friends may call from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, February 6, 2011, at the funeral home, Interment with firemans' honors will be in Epworth Methodist Cemetery, Rehoboth Beach, DE.
