Fadey Wajih Al-Faqih's Obituary
Fadey Wajih Al-Faqih, age 68, of Lewes, DE, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2022. He was born on August 13, 1954, in Beirut, Lebanon, the son of the late Wajih Shaheen and Hind Rasheed (Younis) Al Faqih.
At the age of 2, Mr. Al-Faqih’s and his family moved from Beirut to Washington, DC, where he grew up. His career path led him to pursue a degree in Hospitality. He enjoyed a lengthy and fulfilling career as a Banquet Manager working in the greater DC area. Upon moving to the Delaware Beaches, Mr. Al-Faqih was employed at the Rehoboth Beach Country Club, a job that he enjoyed very much. In 1999, he married the love of his life, Debra (Giorgi). He enjoyed life to the fullest - he was an avid animal lover and enjoyed spending time at the beach. His devotion to his family, however, took precedence above all, he cherished visits to California to visit his brother, the precious years he and Debra spent raising their granddaughter, Devin, and he loved time spent with his granddaughter, Ravin. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and brother, who will be deeply missed by all who had the good fortune to know him.
He is survived by his beloved wife of twenty-three years, Debra ; his stepdaughter, Christina; his grandchildren, Devin Brown and Ravin Taylor; his brothers, Kamal Al-Faqih, Ghassan Al-Faqih, and Faisal Al-Faqih, and his twelve loving cats, Tiger, Kharma, Maggie, Magic, Lucky, Pawz, Ginger, Lefty, Louie, Cookie, Gizzie, and Simmie.
