F. Mozell Pyle's Obituary
Fannie Mozell Pyle, age 89, previously of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 14, 2019 in Hanover, Pennsylvania. She was surrounded by her loving family and passed away from complications due to pneumonia and Parkinson’s Disease.
Moe (as she liked to be known) was born on February 5, 1930 in the rural hills of North Carolina to parents Harry and Malissie Richardson. She graduated from high school in Havre de Grace, Maryland and from Appalachian State University. She studied education and was a devoted member of the Xi Sigma Sorority.
She married Kenneth Gordon Pyle on December 27, 1952 in Aberdeen. She worked as a teacher for a number of public schools, spending the better part of her career at Severna Park Middle School. She was a member of the Severna Park and Rehoboth Beach Lions Clubs and was a devoted member of Epworth United Methodist Church. She loved spending time with family and friends, and was incredibly social for most of her life. She also enjoyed book clubs, soap operas, and touring the country with her family in their motorhome.
In addition to her parents, Moe was preceded in death by her husband; her daughter, Melissa Jane Whyte; and her siblings. She is survived by her grandsons: Jesse Whyte (Baltimore, MD) and Kris Whyte (Lexington, KY); great-grandson, Declan Ryder Whyte (Lexington, KY); nephew, Stephen Pyle (Hanover, PA); and nieces: Sharon Todd (Wilmington, DE) and Donna Marie Pyle (Aberdeen, MD).
A funeral service will be held at Epworth United Methodist Church, 19285 Holland Glade Road; Rehoboth Beach, DE, at 11:00AM on Saturday, March 30, with a wake to follow.
