Everett C. Messick's Obituary
Everett "EV" C. Messick, age 69 of Lewes, formerly of Wilmington, passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2009 at his residence. Born in Pocomoke City, MD on July 6, 1940, he was the son of the late Everett and Virginia (Moore) Messick.
He retired after 32 years as a Senior Electrical Engineer for the Hercules Corp. of Wilmington and traveled for the company.
Ev was an AVID fisherman, enjoyed boating and doing photography.
He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Carolyn (Martz) Messick of Lewes, three sons, Steven M Messick of Wilmington, Brian E. Messick of Bayfield, Co and Jeffrey C. Messick of Rehoboth, Two Step sons, Scott A. Smith of Wilmington and Charles E. Smith III and wife Marci of Covington, LA., one sister, Jean Robinson of Wilmington, three grandchildren, Donna, Karen and Mark and seven nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preseded in death by one brother, Donald Messick.
All services for Everett will be private. Arrangements by Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Lewes.
