Eugena Franklin's Obituary
Eugena E. (Eagen) Franklin of Wilmington, DE passed away on June 17, 2006 at home.
Eugena, better known as Jean or Dolly by her friends, was employed by 7-Eleven convenience stores in Claymont, DE from 1986 to 2000. Her greatest accomplishment in life was being a homemaker and a wonderful mother to her eleven children. The greatest passion in her life was her family.
Husband Melvin Franklin and sons Glenn and Albert Franklin preceded her in death. She is survived by her four daughters: Elaine Beideman of Lewes, DE, Paula Armstrong of Townsend, DE, Tina Wright of Lewes, DE, and Lisa Franklin of Lewes, DE. She is also survived by her five sons: Dennis Franklin of St. Petersburg, FL, Benjamin Franklin of New Castle, DE, Willard Franklin of Rehoboth Beach, DE, Phillip Franklin of Wilmington, DE, and Barry Franklin of New Castle, DE. She is survived also by her twenty one grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Eugena is survived by her sister Pearl Case Brown of Port Jervis, NY, twin brother Eugene "Sonny" Eagen of Newburgh, NY, as well as sixteen nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 24, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE, where family and friends may call one hour prior to the service. Cremation will follow the service with a private burial.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Tunnell Cancer Center, 424 Savannah Road, Lewes, DE 19958.
