Etta Elizabeth Kosaveach's Obituary
Etta Elizabeth (Ridgely) Kosaveach passed gently into the arms of our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, May 22, 2018.
Mrs. Kosaveach was born on January 31, 1936 in Washington, D.C., daughter of the late Arthur O. and Etta C. Ridgely.
Mrs. Kosaveach graduated from the Woodrow Wilson High School, Class of 1954 and the Washington School for Secretaries with honors. A former resident of the Washington, D.C. area, she was an executive secretary and office manager in the transportation industy, leaving in the early 1990s to relocate to Lewes. She continued in this capacity after moving to Lewes, taking an adminstrative position with Harbor Healthcare, where she worked until 1997. Mrs. Kosaveach loved her Victorian home and was an avid collector of antiques. For a number of years, she and her husband were the "cookie couple of Lewes". During her last year of participation, she baked 70 dozen cookies to send to the troops. Mrs. Kosaveach was a devoted wife, mother, and friend to all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kosaveach was preceded in death by her daughters: Helen Elizabeth and Anna Pauline. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Joseph Kosaveach. She is also mourned by her cats: Honey Bear, Pooh Bear, Teddy Bear, and Quigley.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 25, 2018 at 10:00 AM, at Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE, where friend may call beginning at 9:00 AM. Friends may also call the afternoon prior to the service, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Private interment will take place at Congressional Cemetery in Washington, D.C.
Flowers are welcomed, however, memorial contributions may be made to the Historic Lewes Cat Society: P.O. Box 353; Lewes, DE 19958, or to Delaware Hospice Center: 100 Patriots Way; Milford, DE 19963.
