This saddens me so to learn of her passing. She was a very special gal, raised good kids, and dealt with some pretty tough situations in her life. My heart goes out to Gerry, Arita and Rick; and all other loved ones. May God bless her, and keep her.
Mom, it is hard to believe that you are gone. I love and miss you so much. After 12 years of viviting with you every night, it is really difficult not to be seeing and talking to you. I miss our visits. The last few years have truly been difficult for you, but you soldiered thru never complaining. I know you are now in a more peaceful and better place. Enjoy walking in beautiful gardens and meeting family and old friends once again. Have lit a candle from Jim and I to help light your way. A very nice person who had a very positive effect on me and my life. She leaves a very large void and I wish her happy eternal peace.
It was Mother’s Day yesterday, Mom, and I love you dearly. I have your card on my mantle with pictures of you and candles burning. I will miss our long talks more than words can convey. MY MOM! She had a soft and gentle way about her with a “remarkable inner strength”. The values she gave me, and the lessons she taught me are with me forever. She truly loved her family, her extended family and never forgot a friend. She was the most unselfish person I have ever known. My Mom always put everyone she loved before her and was as honest as the day is long. Her smile was soft with a glint in her eyes and so wonderful to see. I wish there had been more of that. She was a pretty woman on the outside and beautiful on the inside. There are so many things I could write but mostly, I’m proud to say I was her daughter, and will miss and love her always. I got to know Ethelder, when she visited her daughter, Arita Burleigh, in Wilmington, NC. She was a strong woman, very independent, and a avid reader. She will be missed.
I got to know Ethelder when she visited her daughter during the winter months. She was a very kind-hearted lady and always a pleasure to be with. May God Bless and Keep Her.
Mrs. Burleigh was just such a generous kind soul as anyone could ever know. She welcomed me into her family without reservation. Always had a quiet laugh everytime we spoke. I will miss you "Hilda", may God bless and keep you in his arms till eternity.
