Esther Irene Jefferson's Obituary
Esther Irene Jefferson, age 66 of Bridgeville, DE, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at Christiana Care Health Systems. She was born in Easton, MD, on Sunday, April 29, 1951, daughter of the late Charles and Esther Klein.
Mrs. Jefferson was employed for 28 years at Rapa Scrapple in Bridgeville, retiring 4 years ago. She loved to travel and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion and the VFW, both in Seaford. Mrs. Jefferson was also a member of the Moose Lodge in Seaford. Her most cherished moments, however, were those spent with her family; especially her adored grandchildren. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and she will be deeply missed by everyone who was blessed to know her.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jefferson was preceded in death by her brother, John Elms; and her sister, Faye Drinks. She is survived by her beloved husband of 44 years, Norman Jefferson; her son, Brian and his wife Amy; her daughter, Jenn Berlin and her husband Jon; her grandchildren: Riley Jefferson, Camden Jefferson, and Daniel Berlin; and her numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, May 8, 2017, at 2:00 PM, at Union United Methodist Church, 2 N. Laws Street, Bridgeville, DE, where friends may visit beginning at 1:00 PM.
