Emma J. Thomas' Obituary
Emma J. Thomas, age 83, of Millsboro, DE passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at the Delaware Hospice Center, in Milford, DE. She was born Friday, April 29, 1932 in Plymouth Township, PA, daughter of the late Hiram and Hannah (Sealy) Hunsinger.
Mrs. Thomas lived in La Polente, CA for 50 years with her loving husband Matthew Thomas. Following his passing she relocated to Millsboro, DE living with her cousin, Ronald. Mrs. Thomas was an avid volunteer, volunteering with Beebe Healthcare and Beebe Thrift Shop, where she spent countless hours 3-4 times per week.
She enjoyed world travel, visiting numerous countries and cultures in her travels. Mrs. Thomas also enjoyed taking cruises with friends and bus trips for dinner shows through Del. Tech Senior Citizens Travel.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Matthew Thomas. She is survived by her sister, Naomi Frederick of Pottstown, PA; her sister in-law, Anita Burtto of Pottstown, PA; her cousin, Ronald S. Bainbridge and his wife, Connie of Millsboro, DE and numerous friends she made while volunteering, who were just like family.
There will be Graveside Memorial Service in Pottstown, Pa.
