Emil Krautter's Obituary
Emil "Buddy" Louis Krautter, age 69, of Lewes, DE passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at the Delaware Hospice Center, in Milford, DE. He was born Saturday, August 25, 1945 in San Luis Obispo, CA, son of the late Thomas K. and Gladys L. (Thornton) Krautter.
Mr. Krautter was a 1962 graduate of Newark High School, Newark, DE. He enjoyed a long career as a Millwright with the Motor Wheel Corporation in Newark, DE. He retired from the Maintenance Department at Angola by the Bay, Lewes, DE.
Mr. Krautter loved tinkering with cars, fishing on the local waters or watching old horror movies. One of his favorite pastimes, was his many conversations with the guys at Long Neck Diner.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Krautter was preceded in death by his son, Tracy Krautter and his step-daughter, Lisa Lowe. He is survived by his wife, Margaret A. Driscoll-Krautter of Lewes, DE; two sons, Emil L. Krautter, Jr. and his wife Peg and Michael Krautter both of Newark, DE; a stepdaughter, Jennifer L. Cook and her husband Gary of Gap, PA; a brother, Thomas K. Krautter, Jr. and his wife Connie of New Castle, DE; a sister, Kathi Smith of Dover, DE; five grandsons, Emil L. Krautter, III and Joseph L. Krautter both of Newark, DE; Tracy Krautter, Jr. of TN; Tim Burns of Tucson, AZ; Gregory Hall of Gap, PA; one great-grandson, Domonic Burns of Tucson, AZ; nieces and nephews, Tammi Smith-Poorman and James Smith, Jr. both of Clayton, DE; Becky Harris; Joanna Repella and Sharon Smith all of New Castle, DE.
Service will be at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes, DE.
