Elizabeth Kendrick Watson's Obituary
Elizabeth Kendrick Watson, born on June 24, 1939 in Hyannis, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at home in Ocean View, Delaware on February 2, 2025. She is survived by her daughters : Stacey Bowen (Tim) of Ocean View, Delaware and Stephanie Schwartz of Fallston, Maryland, as well as three grandsons : Zachary, Joshua, and Morgan.
Elizabeth (Liz) spent most of her childhood in Uncasville, Connecticut, to become a 1957 graduate of the Norwich Free Academy in Norwich, Connecticut. She worked 26 years for AT&T in Cockeysville, Maryland - starting out as a keypunch operator, and retiring from the company as a transportation coordinator. She also worked as a manager for Rite Aid, and as a data entry clerk with Check Gallery in Joppa, Maryland for several years.
During retirement, Liz became a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Post 200, in Hampstead, Maryland, where she shared her enjoyment of card making by planning and organizing group member get-togethers to create cards for VA hospital patients. This has become a mission of the Auxiliary, which they continue to carry on.
Each year, Liz looked forward to her summer birthday week, when she would travel to New England, to break lobster with her best friend from high school, and visit cherished relatives in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. She loved board puzzles and word searches, and snuggling with the family schnauzers. Her smile, hugs, and love will be often thought of, and deeply missed.
