Elizabeth F. Rotar's Obituary
ROTAR, Elizabeth Florence (née Glockner), 91, of Dover, DE, passed peacefully on Tuesday, January 13, 2026. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John. She was the devoted mother of Lea Ann Tymon (Kevin), John G. (Joanie), and Lisa Bertone (David); loving grandmother of Evan (Lori), Danielle (Jimmy), Kyle (Amber), Brendan, Elaina (Max), and Grace (Anthony); great-grandmother of Sophia, Emma, Charlotte, George, and Henry.
Elizabeth was born in Hartford, CT, and raised in Hoboken, NJ. She moved to Hillsdale, NJ, in 1959. She worked for the Borough of Hillsdale for 28 years before retiring as Borough Clerk in 1994. She was active in her faith as a Eucharistic Minister and Lector, an avid bird watcher, and loved to shop!
Elizabeth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 13, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 152 Tulip Drive, Lewes, DE 19958. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
A repast will be held at the parish center following the mass at noon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 152 Tulip Drive, Lewes, DE 19958. Burial will be private.
