Elizabeth Jane Romig's Obituary
Elizabeth Jane Romig, affectionately known as Betty, BJ, and Betts by her loved ones, was born on February 2, 1936, and passed peacefully from our lives on October 2, 2025.
Betty was predeceased by her loving husband, Fred. She is survived by her children, Stephen (Monica), Lauren (Lisa), and Christen (Kevin). Betty also has five grandchildren Caitlin, Tara, Alison, Casey and Tyler and a great granddaughter, Corinne.
Betty grew up in Reading, Pennsylvania along with her sister, Jean. She earned her degree in nursing at Reading Hospital and spent over 40 years practicing as a Pediatric Nurse in Reading, Pennsylvania and Wilmington, Delaware.
Betty will be remembered for her deep affection for her husband and family, her bright smile, enjoyment of birds and walking outdoors, maintaining full pretzel and candy jars, making amazing fruit pies, and tears when leaving any family gathering.
Interment will be private.
