Elizabeth B. Kelly's Obituary
Elizabeth B (Bullard) Kelly, 88, of Bridgeville, DE died at her late residence on Friday on April 7, 2006. She was born on March 15, 1918, in Clemmons, NC, daughter of the late Sidney Bullard and Fannie (Sheets) Bullard.
Mrs. Kelly moved to Bridgeville in 1948 after her marriage on June 14, 1947 to her husband Edwin J. Kelly. She had worked for TIE in Milford, DE for several years and then became the personal secretary to Warren Newton until she was injured in an automobile accident in December 1978. She served in the United States Army WAC from May 1943 to December 1945 and was stationed in the Pacific Theater with the Far Eastern Air Force. She was the recipient of the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal Ribbon for service in New Gunea. She also received the Phillipine Liberation Ribbon for service on Leyte and Luzon. Mrs. Kelly was an avid Bridge Player, served as a girl scout leader, and was an avid flower gardener. She was a member of Our Lady Of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church since 1948.
Survivors include her husband of almost 60 years; two daughters, Diane Hill of Alexandria, VA and Janet Creazzo and her husband Joseph of Wilmington, DE; four grandchildren: Lucas Hill, Carolina Hill, Tim Creazzo and Kelly Anne Creazzo; two step-grandchildren: Andrew Hill and Wendy Hill; two step-great-grandchildren: Josh Hill and Abby Hill; and her sister Virginia Byers of Jamesville, NY. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and six sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady Of Lourdes Catholic Church, 532 Stein Highway, Seaford, DE with Father Joseph Hurley officiating. Friends may call at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Hardesty Chapel, 202 Laws Street, Bridgeville, DE on Monday, April 10, 2006 from 7-9 PM where the Rosary will be recited at 8 PM. Burial will follow the Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Seaford, DE.
