Elizabeth M. Degan's Obituary
Elizabeth M. (King) Degan, age 87, of Bridgeville, Delaware, formerly of Rehoboth Beach, DE, passed away on Sunday May 9, 2010. Mrs. Degan was born July 6, 1922 in Norfolk, VA, daughter of the late Perry N. and Florence J. (Price) King.
Mrs Degan was co-owner of Betty's Bake Shop on Rehoboth Avenue for 20 years (1946-1966) She later worked for Windsor's Florist, retiring in 1984.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Roy E. Degan. She is survived by two sons, Bill Nennstiehl, Jr. and his wife Laura Anne, and Gary K.Nennstiehl and his wife Kim; three grandchildren: Heather Taylor and husband Corey, Katie Nennstiehl and Derek Nennstiehl; two great-granddaughters: Paige and Brooke; and her sister-in-law, Helen King of Wilmington, DE.
All services and interment are private at Bridgeville Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Hardesty Chapel, Bridgeville, DE.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Epworth United Methodist Church, 20 Baltimore Avenue, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971.
