Elizabeth "Betty" Catherine Smith's Obituary
Elizabeth "Betty" Catherine Smith, age 82, of Lewes, DE passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes, DE. She was born on May 6, 1932 in Canonsburg, PA, daughter of the late John and Margaret (Crisafi) Fabian.
Betty graduated from Mingo High School in Mingo Junction, OH and enjoyed a long time career as a Medical Secretary. She was a loving mother and a dedicated homemaker who took pride in caring for her family. She enjoyed taking cruises with her late husband, Paul and going to casinos. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Smith, Sr. they were married November 17, 1951. She is survived by her son, Paul Smith, Jr. and his wife Diana; a daughter, Sunny Kiser and her husband Gary; a granddaughter, Michelle Owusu and her husband Frances; three grandsons, Doug Kiser, John Kiser and Josh Smith; two great-grandchildren, Hailey and Callie Owusu and the family will be blessed with a new family member in September.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2015, at 11:00 AM, at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 152 Tulip Drive, Lewes, DE 19958 followed by a Reception at the church. Interment will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made in Betty's memory to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
