I am so sorry to hear of Betsy's passing. Janet, I always loved working with you both on your real estate. My heart goes out to you and your family.
I had the honor of meeting Betsy at Kings Creek Country Club. She would spend many hours on the range tinkering. Had the privilege to play in a fun tournament with her and a couple of friends. We won the tournament and won some credit to spend at the Pro Shop. I recall Betsy saying in a giddy voice "I can't remember the last time I won a purse this big". For all the success she had she was so humble and gracious. I treasure the moments I had with this GREAT human being!
We were so sorry to hear of Betsy’s passing. Although we were just neighbors here in Breakwater, we did get a glimpse of the wonderful humble life she had from reading her obituary in the Gazette. May she rest in peace.

Pat and I would like to send our deepest sympathy for the passing of this wonderful lady. She lived 3 doors from us in our previous neighborhood. She was a good friend and had an outstanding career and contribution to golf which made her a legend on the LPGA. I will never forget the time Betsy and I crawled into her crawl space to check on a heater filter which was recently replaced. I insisted that she not go with me but she did anyway. RIP Betsy, you will truly be missed.
My deepest condolences to Janet and Betsy's family. I always enjoyed the Swinging With A Star events on behalf of Fund For Wome . Betsy personified grace and kindness.
Janet, I'm sorry for your loss. I remember meeting Betsy at Girl Scout golf events back in the 1980s. But I knew of your great achievements in professional golf as a kid when I started playing in the early 1970s. I wish you and her family peace during this difficult period in your lives.
I don't remember when I first met Betsy. What I do remember was that she got me into volunteering at the McDonalds LPGA Championship several times. This led to playing with her at one of the AJGA championship practice rounds, caddying for her at a "Swinging for the Stars" charity tournament and ultimately playing several rounds with her when she joined my men's group at the Rookery Golf Club. Of course we all wanted to beat her, but never did! If any of us got close, she just stepped it up. And of course inside 100yds she had us beat every time! But perhaps what I remember and respected most about Betsy was that she never offered advice unless we asked for it. She was a class act, a competitor to the end and someone who I was fortunate and proud to call my friend. She will rest in peace knowing that she touched the lives of so many people from the well known to the ordinary. My condolences to Janet and her family.

Betsy was one "class act". During my tenure with the New Castle County Police, I had the pleasure of working with Ms. Rawls during the LPGA McDonalds's tournament at the DuPont course. I was charged with Clubhouse Security and Ms. Rawls was always supportive of the efforts of my agency's efforts as well DE State Police and the Wilmington Bureau of Police in providing security to the LPGA professionals Her reputation on the LPGA tour is well known but she was well respected for the person that she was. Her professional career is noteworthy but her willingness to help market the LPGA and the game of golf is beyond description. My condolences to Betsy's family during this time of loss and remembrance. Here's celebrating a profession and a life well lived.
