Elisabeth "Skip" (Dunigan) Abbott's Obituary
Elisabeth "Skip" Abbott (nee Dunigan) of Henlopen Acres, DE beloved wife for 63 years of Frank H. Abbott, died at her residence on Tuesday, December 13, 2005. The cause of death was lung cancer. Mrs. Abbott was born November 29, 1919 in Woodbridge, NJ.
She was a graduate of Georgian Court College with an A.B. degree in 1941. She was the former president of her college alumnae, The Radnor Hunt, and the Malvern Preprepatory School Mothers Club. She was a permanent member of the Board of the St. Francis Country House in Darby, Pennsylvania.
Mrs. Abbott is survived by her husband, sons, Terence, Richard, and Francis, Jr., as well as nine grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM, Saturday, December 17 at St. Edmond's Roman Catholic Church, King Charles and Laurel Streets, Rehoboth Beach, DE. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Lewes, DE.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital, 1500 Lansdowne Avenue, Darby, PA 19023.
