Elijah Benjamin Ghabour's Obituary
Elijah Benjamin Ghabour, known affectionately as Elijah to his friends and family, passed away in a tragic automobile accident on July 15, 2024. He was born on February 6, 2009, in Lewes, DE, son of Lauren Redmond and Eddie Ghabour.
Though his years were few, Elijah's impact was profound. His smile was a source of light in any room, and his loyalty was unwavering. He was a young man of many passions, finding joy in the tranquility of deer hunting, the excitement of fishing, and the camaraderie of playing lacrosse and football. Elijah's love for these activities was only surpassed by his love for his tight-knit group of friends and family, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond. He especially enjoyed his time working at Quest on Lewes Beach.
As we mourn the loss of Elijah, we also celebrate the life he lived. His journey, though brief, was one marked by an abundance of love, deep connections, and the kind of joy that comes from truly living in the moment. Elijah's memory will be held in the hearts of those who loved him as a testament to the profound effect one life can have on many.
In addition to his parents Elijah is survived by his brother Eddie Ghabour; his maternal grandparents Lynne and Herbert Redmond of Mechanicsville, MD; his paternal grandparents, Ghabour and Janette Ghabour of Lewes, DE; his Aunt, Sally Ghabour of Lewes, DE and his Uncle Joey (Becky) Ghabour and their children Lilly and Gavin of Milton, DE; his uncle Brandon Redmond and his children Pierce and Peyton of Berlin, MD; and his uncle Jason and Michell Redmond of Seattle, Washington.
