Eleanor Marie Walker's Obituary
Eleanor Marie Walker, age 80, of Bridgeville, DE, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Tidal Health Nanticoke. She was born in Bridgeville, DE, on August 25, 1944 daughter of the late Charles L. and Helen G Hastings.
Eleanor was a mother and housewife who took pride in her home and raising her children. She was an avid animal lover, especially her cats. Eleanor enjoyed watching her "soaps" and just being at home. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
In addition to her parents, Eleanor is preceded in passing by: her husband Cletis E. Walker and her son, Robert Lee Walker. She is survived by her children: Yvonne Cole of Harrington, DE (Clarence Barlow) and Annette Coblentz of North Carolina; her step children: Jenny Walker Everhart of NC, Jesse Walker of OR, and Lisa Davis of Bridgeville, DE; her siblings: Brenda and Bill Morris of Milton, DE, Sonny Hastings of Lincoln, DE, and Shirley and Joe Bassett of East New Market, MD; and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family who will all miss her.
Burial will be held at the Bridgeville Cemetery, Market & Laws Streets, Bridgeville, DE on Thursday, January 2 at 1:00 PM, where friends and family are welcome.
