Eleanor F. Soltner's Obituary
Eleanor F. Soltner, age 75, of Lewes, DE, died Sunday, January 23, 2011 at Delaware Hospice Center, Milford, DE. She was born February 23m 1935 in Marcus Hook, PA, daughter of the late Joseph and Sophia Firlein.
Mrs. Soltner was a retiree of the Sun Oil Company in Marcus Hook where she had worked for 35 years. After retirement, she moved to Lewes with her first husband, Tom Blanch who passed away in 1999. Eleanor married Frank F. Soltner in October 2003 whom she met through friends in September 2002.
Eleanor shared a love of golf with Frank as she did with most of her close circle of friends. She was a member of the USGA, the Delaware State Golf Association in Milford, DE, the Shawnee Country Club in Milford, and the American Legion Post 28 Ladies Auxiliary in Oak Orchard.
In addition to her husband Frank, she is survived by her Aunt, Augusta Crockett of Aston, PA and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 27, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE. Friends may call at the funeral home beginning at 9:00 AM. Interment will be on Friday, 11:00 AM at Lawn Croft Cemetery, 1000 W. Ridge Road, Linwood, PA.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
