Eleanor Rogers Smith's Obituary
Eleanor Rogers Smith, age 91, formerly of Homosassa, FL, passed away on Saturday May 12, 2012 at Renaissance Healthcare in Millsboro, DE.
Widow of the late John Asa Smith, Eleanor resided all her life in Lambertville, New Jersey where she and Mr. Smith owned and operated the Hill Store on Cottage Hill. They retired to Florida in 1973. Before opening the Hill Store, she was employed by Acme Markets. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Homosassa and Victory Chapter #96 of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a former member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lambertville.
Daughter of the late John and Martha Rogers, she is survived by her daughter, Barbara Allen of Lewes, DE; daughter Phyllis Morgan Peters and her husband Charles of Homosassa, FL; grandson David Allen and wife Mary Beth; granddaughter Leslie Cipriano; grandson Jack Hayes; great-grandchildren Freddie and Melissa Cipriano; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Smith was also sister to the late Jack, Charles, Harry, Edgar and David Rogers, Anne Leverton and Mildred Bauer.
Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2012, at 1:00 P.M., at Harbourton Cemetery, Harbourton, New Jersey. Arrangements by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Lewes, DE.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be sent to your local hospice organization.
