Eleanor Rae Murphy's Obituary
On Sunday October 6, 2024, Eleanor (Babe) Murphy departed this life, surrounded by her family in her home. Born in Crisfield MD on March 20,1944, she was the daughter of Wilson and Anna Mae Jones.
On October 21, 1961, she married the love of her life, Russell Murphy Sr. She dedicated herself to being a devoted wife, loving grandmother, mother, daughter, sister and friend to many.
Mrs. Murphy was preceded in death by her husband Russell Murphy, and parents Wilson and Anna Mae Jones and her adored pets, Shep, Puds, Boots and T.T.
She is survived by her children, Russell Murphy Jr (Julie) of Hurlock MD, Nicole Davis (Paul) of Bridgeville DE. Her brother Edgar Jones (Faye) of Salisbury MD, Anna Laird (Ricky) of Crisfield MD. Her loving grandchildren, Mindy Murphy, Heather Bailey, Derek Murphy, Sarah Ruark (Michael) Tyler Davis, Bragg Davis (Cassie) and 3 great grandchildren, Jalen, Maddox and Kellan.
A Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 pm on October 18, 2024, at St. Johnstown United Methodist Cemetery 13471 St. Johnstown Rd, Greenwood, DE 19950 per her wishes.
