Elaine Mical's Obituary
Elaine Mical of Lewes, DE, age 92, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 25, 2012, at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford, DE. She was born August 29, 1919 in Cincinnati, OH, daughter of the late James and Arista (Louvis) Poulos.
Mrs. Mical spent most of her life in Washington, DC, relocating to Lewes 22 years ago. She was an avid bowler, a superb homemaker, and the family Matriarch. Her family will cherish many fond memories of her as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ferdinand Mical; two sons: Gary S. Mical and his companion Vickie Wetzel of Wheaton, MD and Robert A. Mical and his wife Kirsten Schroeder of Charlottesville, VA; her daughter, Vikki M. Diehl of Lewes; seven grandchildren: Deborah Mowatt and her husband David, Randy V. Smith and his wife Jennie, Steven Niese, Christopher Mical, Vanessa-Renee Mical, Devi Schroeder and Peder Schroeder; four great-grandchildren: Samuel Mowatt, Bayley Mowatt, Stevie Niese and Paige Stanley; and her faithful Lab, "Spice". In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mical was preceded in death by her son, James Mical in 2008; her brother, Anthony Poulos; and two sisters: Mary Griffin and Magdeline Georgacopulos.
A Celebration of Mrs. Mical’s Life will be held on Wednesday, February 29, 2012, at 3:00 PM at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE where friends may visit with the family beginning at 2:00 PM. Interment will be private at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro, DE.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriot's Way, Milford, DE 19963.
