Eileen I. Currey's Obituary
Eileen I. Currey, age 59 of Lincoln, DE, and formerly of Amityville, NY, passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at her home. She was born on March 25, 1961 in Queens, NY, daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret (Millard) Currey.
Eileen had many and varied interests. She relished listening to music in her “she shed”, hopping in the jacuzzi, and gathering around a campfire. Eileen was in love with wildlife and enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrels. She adored all animals, but none so much as her beloved dogs: Theodore, who was waiting for her at the Rainbow Bridge, and Ben and Rosie, who will miss her. Eileen had the beach in her blood and loved to soak up the sun, feel the sand between her toes, and breathe in the salty ocean air. Above all, she cherished time spent with those she held most dear. Eileen was a loving and devoted wife, sister, aunt, and friend. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Eileen is survived by her beloved wife of 31 years, Patricia Horan of Lincoln, DE; her brother, Billy Currey of Long Beach, NY; her sisters: Pat Duryea, and Kathey Currey, both of Lowville, NJ, and Barbara Currey of MA; her niece, Christine Hamburg (Todd) of Lowville, NJ; and her nephew, James Duryea (Jessica) of Levitown, NY.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be no in-person services.
A memorial service via live-stream will be held on Friday, February 26, 2021 at 4:00 PM. All are invited to join the live-stream by visiting http://www.parsellfuneralhomes.com/obituaries/permalink/9842025/LTWebcast.
