It’s hard to boil everything I love about mer mer into a post, but I can say this: she is responsible for so much of the happiness in my life. She gave me my mom, supported my parents marriage and decision to have kids, we spent most summers with her as a kid, she hosted my friends and I on the weekends through elementary and high school, I lived with her in the summer in college, she introduced me to my husband and bought my wedding dress, she made me a quilt for every special occasion, she loved my babies, and Eliza Lee is named after her. I love our Mer Mer and will carry her in my heart forever.

Dr Connor, Sandy, Karen, Joy, and Wendy,
So many memories growing up whether it was at the house on Brooklyn Ave or at the beach cottage. I always remember Mrs Connor looking (in my eyes) so perfect and chic. I know the loss you all feel is so great, yet find comfort in memories found in pictures and stories. I am so very grateful for having her example of style and grace in my life. Aunt Lee we called her. So many wonderful memories. I know my mom and dad were there to greet her when the Lord called her home on Eagles wings. Prayers for all of the family and I’ll be watching her mass. Special hugs to Dr. Connor on losing the love of his life. Please know the entire Mitchell family is so sorry for your tremendous loss.

Mrs. Connor was such a positive influence in my childhood. Her glamour, style, and beauty are memorable. I will always treasure the memory of watching the moon landing with her and the overnight stays on Brooklyn Avenue. She always checked on us at bedtime and adjusted our covers. ( I was not sleeping.) I enjoyed our conversations in later years and was blessed that she would check on me. My prayers of comfort are with all the family. I know she will be dearly missed.
