Efrain Santiago's Obituary
Efrain Santiago, Sr., 63, of Bridgeville, died suddenly on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Seaford, DE. He was born December 5, 1946 in Guanica, Puerto Rico, son of the late Francisco Santiago and Leonor Tardy.
Mr. Santiago was employed since 1992 as a Facility Assistant at Life Care at Lofland Park, Seaford. He enjoyed fishing, reading health and science books, watching baseball, boxing and old western movies. He also liked the outdoors and nature trails. He was a loving father and grandfather.
He is survived by six children: Efrain Santiago, Jr. and his wife Jocelyn of Blades, DE, Luz M. Santiago and Suhady A. Santiago both of Bridgeville, Isabel Santiago of Salisbury, MD, Winnie Claudio and her husband Shane of Knuckletown, PA, and Diana Santiago of Howell, NJ; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his former wife Enelida Vidal-Santiago..
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 11:00 AM, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Hardesty Chapel, 202 Laws Street, Bridgeville with Deacon Arcy Passwaters officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home beginning at 9:00 AM. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Ronald McDonald House of Wilmington, 1901 Rockland Road, Wilmington, DE 19803.
