Thank you Dad for...
-Taking me out for ice cream too often
- Taking me golfing and teaching me how to play it
- Letting me drive the golf cart
- Playing tennis with me, even when your knee wouldn’t take it anymore
- Playing ball in the back yard with me
- cooking our meals before yours and always making sure I had eaten something
- keeping the light on
-Taking me fishing and taking fish off the hook when I caught one because I couldn’t stand that part.
- Teaching me right from wrong
- Taking me out for pizza way too much. I will always remember Ledo’s pizza when it really was Ledo’s pizza. Will also never forget Danny’s Spaghetti House. You always knew what made me happy.
- Taking me to Orioles, Terps, Bullets, Capitals and Redskins games
- Becoming interested in the Denver Broncos only because I liked them
- Turning off your tv show so I could watch mine.
- Driving me to and from school
- Treating my friends as if they were your own children
- Always making our Christmas and Easter holidays special
- taking our family to Ocean City every summer
- Taking me to church every Sunday and then taking us out for Montgomery Doughnuts afterwards
- Telling me about your history and how you met Mom
- Helping me out during EVERY field day when I was a PE teacher
- Poppie’s pancakes, oh how I will miss Poppie’s pancakes.
- Teaching me about saving and investing money, and how to spend some too
- making sure I was ok even if it meant putting yourself at risk
- Encouraging me to follow my dreams and to find time to 🚴more often
- Caring for, sticking with and fighting for Mom even when she became stricken with Alzheimer’s. You all were married for 63 years 😮
❤️u forever
Your son, John
